Expert Video Interviews: Perspectives from cultural heritage, creative industry, research, education, and youth

The Expert Video Interviews gather a rich set of voices from across the EPIC-WE ecosystem: cultural heritage professionals, museum practitioners, game designers, researchers, educators, creative industry people, young creatives, students, and project partners. They open a window into the ideas, experiences, and collaborations that animate the EPIC-WE project, offering rich perspectives on how EPIC-WE creates meaningful cross-sector and cross-European exchange through cultural hub collaborations and the practice of game-making as culture-making.

Together, they offer first-hand perspectives on the project’s results, working methods, and transformative potential. Through their reflections, the interviews show how EPIC-WE connects culture, games, education, and youth engagement in new and meaningful ways, and how the project creates space for cross-sector collaboration, experimentation, and shared learning. They also highlight why the EPIC-WE innovations - Cultural Hubs, Cultural Game Jams, Cultural Prototypes, and Games with Culture - matter: Because they open culture, values, and cultural heritage to new audiences, empower young people as co-creators, and demonstrate how game-making can become a powerful method for cultural imagination, participation, and innovation. As well as demonstrate the project's potential to generate new cultural models, partnerships, and practices across the sectors of culture, creative industries, games, education, and youth engagement.

Together, the interviews invite you to experience not only what EPIC-WE has developed, but also how these innovations emerged and why they are important for the future of cultural institutions, the creative industries, game development, education, and youth engagement. In doing so, they provide valuable insight into the project’s impact and into the wider possibilities of using games and culture to imagine, shape, and share together.
